We were here during our vacation and made reservations very spontaneously, which wasn't a problem. The food was excellent, the staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was perfect. Prices are okay, the selection is more than sufficient - we would love to come back.

Unfortunately a bit poor for the prices. Ice chocolate was sour but still had to be paid for. Cakes weren't the real thing either. The frozen cake with tangerine was delicious. Service tried hard, but not so fast. All in all, you can go there, but you don't have to

Great restaurant with a nice, cozy outdoor terrace with a view of the North Sea or the salt marshes. Nice friendly service. Price a little more expensive than the average, but the good Lagr and the great view you pay for with .....

Food was great. We had cod, tuna steak, homemade ravioli and a salad. The ambience is nice and, depending on the seat, a view of the sea is possible. The only thing that prevents you from getting the full number of points is that you did feel a bit handled.

Food was very tasty, but really overpriced. Just because you're in the first line doesn't mean you have to overdo it. But the "service" ... almost without words. At the entrance you are first received in a very Frisian way. Inside everything runs like a grocery discounter. Outside there is an Eastern European who says that he is particularly funny with his kind. Once and certainly not again.

The restaurant isn’t bad but really not worth the prices. The staff are friendly and service good and the set up of the place is nice. The food and prices are however not matching the efforts of staff. More style than actual substance. The curry’s are warmed up, the salmon boring, the burgers are underwhelming and despite the fancy presentation....it’s all bland and disappointing. Shame as staff are great and friendly.

Food was delicious, service friendly. BUT We weren't even asked to vacate the table for 3 hours, as he was resigned from 9 p.m. On request, the person responsible informed us that there are currently only reservations for 2 hours, as fewer places are available due to Corona We had ordered online and this information could not be included. I come from IT and something like that shows the inability of management. I cannot currently recommend a visit in the evening at the end of the day. Or you come after 20 ye and hope that you can stay Hasn't happened to us like this before.

Reservations recommended. Friendly and fast service, creative and delicious dishes in a stylish atmosphere. Only my duck breast was cold and I let it go, here I was handled listlessly and harshly by the service, even though they place great value on professional service! Fantastic breakfast buffet with everything your heart desires. For € 17 per person you get great service, a huge selection of fresh and high-quality food (also a lot of vegetarian and even vegan) and drinks included. All of this in a beach chair in the sand with a great view. Just awesome.

All around a great place. Both the drinks and the food are worth a visit - you can also (but not only) get delicious vegetarian / vegan dishes here. The decor is tasteful, modern and through the many large windows you have a very nice view of the dunes. A highlight is the outdoor seating area - you can either take a seat at the tables on the terrace or in beach chairs / on deck chairs on the edge of the dunes. In this restaurant the hygiene measures are taken seriously - very good! Lots of disinfectant dispensers, proper space between the tables and careful cleaning by the service staff. You'd love to come back!

Make a reservation. Very well organized and very friendly staff. Great atmosphere and chic feel. The food is high quality and really tasty. No mass dishes but selected dishes that are not offered on every corner. That speaks for quality. I had Asian noodles with peanuts and fried vegetables in season. Very appetizingly presented and tasty. I can highly recommend it.

We have been going to Deichkind for every vacation for years. The food is really very good, especially when you compare it to most other restaurants. Reserving early is necessary - but it's worth it. :)

The Deichkind is both a public and in-house restaurant and has a medium-sized, good menu, which is only slightly changed every year. Above all: a children's menu with adequate portions for the stomach from 8 years. The dishes range from classics such as Wiener Schnitzel (children's portion in the photo), to typical North Sea dishes such as fish and crab dishes, and unusual dishes such as Tuna Tataki. There are also obligatory meat and non-meat burgers, pasta, a couple of nice desserts and an extensive drinks menu with soda creations, cocktails (good sundowners), liqueurs and much more to end the day. Since the dyke child also has a playroom with a DVD cinema, parents can also toast with larger children in peace. TIP: The pana cotta liqueur. ? New on the menu this year: veal fillet. We have to do the days again for that. ?

After a friendly welcome, both the drinks and the food came very quickly. The burgers were also delicious until my husband discovered a maggot on his plate. When asked about this, the waitress took the maggot to the kitchen, without apology or other reaction. My husband's appetite was past and he left the rest of his food on the plate. The plate was cleared without comment, as a precaution no one asked whether the food tasted good.

Perfect food and service!

Great view and nice place in first row to a coastel view. We had salmon sandwich, which was very good with the right amount of green and sauce, and a tasty light bun. Our coffees where also very good in taste, but my cappuccino was a bit small. All in all, a nice experience after a very vold out on the pier.

The breakfast is absolutely divine!! Even our 10 month old loved it!

Great place, great staff, great food. However, I ordered a burger and, while fancy and delicious, it came without a top to the bun. My girlfriend ordered it too and it came out the same as mine so I know it wasn't a mistake. As an american, I am livid. - Great place, though.

They gave me a super tiny bottle of water even though I did order a medium sized one.
